Baked Macaroni (Mac and Cheese)

This is truly an easy and delicous way to prepare everyone’s favorite comfort food.  It comes out cheesy and creamy, you dirty only one dish in preparation, and you do not have to cook the noodles.  May seem too good to be true, but it’s not.  This is a great recipe and a family favorite.  Enjoy!

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild, your taste)
  • 5 cups milk
  • salt & pepper

Melt butter directly in 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan (I do it right on the stovetop).  Add macaroni, salt and pepper and toss thoroughly.  Sprinkle cheese on top.  Pour milk over all.

Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.  My kids like it when the cheese starts to brown on top.
